Mark Schubert
PhD student at the Chair of Languages and Cultural Studies at the Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt, Mark has always had a passion for legends and folklore.
Very rational, like his uncle Kaspar, he will see all his certainties crumble when he unexpectedly comes face to face with the very myths of his research! And from then on, nothing will ever be the same for the future professor of literature, Mark Schubert.
Viktor Meier
Healthcare assistant specialized at the University Clinic’s Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Polyclinic of the city of Bonn, has always dedicated his activity to his neighbors, but without disdaining his personal well-being. Also because no one seems to be able to resist his 'impossible' charm... except perhaps the even more fascinating Atsuko!
But behind his jovial temperament, Viktor hides a disturbing secret.
Klaudia Frieda Wolf
With a passion for literature and oriental languages, Klaudia also has a great passion for children. She is Mark's girlfriend.
All too outgoing and cheerful, she has a character that is the exact opposite of her partner's, which will come in handy when she is confronted with a series of unspeakable horrors. And the price she has to pay will be incredibly high.
Fujita Atsuko
Chief engineer of a major Yokohama microelectronics company, and great friend of Klaudia, Atsuko is endowed with such a superior, unnatural charisma that not even Viktor himself can resist her. Even more irresistible is her incredible beauty, which will prove to be a serious source of trouble for her and the group.
Kaspar Schubert
Chief Inspector of the Frankfurt Police, he is Mark's uncle and Viktor's adoptive father. Very intelligent, once he finds the trace of a crime, he doesn’t give up anymore.
This time, however, what seems to be a normal investigation soon turns into a terrible nightmare, capable of shattering every rational certainty of the policeman and threatening to drag him into a veritable abyss of absurd madness.
